We also carry a bariatric transfer board than can hold 650 pounds. Each medical transfer board has holes cut out that serve as hand grips that the patient can hold on to for stability. Also available is an offset board with three hand grips that is ideal for independent transfers. These daily living aids have a clear sealant on the surface that makes it easy to slide on and off the board. Each sliding transfer board is thin, making them easy to store and carry.
Transfer benches are used to help people get in and out of a bathtub to bathe. They consist of a seat and four legs. Two of the legs sit in the bottom of the tub and two legs sit outside of the tub. This allows the user to enter the bathtub without having to step over the wall of the tub. A transfer bench has a seat back and a handle for extra support.
