Mobility aids are medical supplies that make walking easier and safer for those who have difficulty getting around. These daily living aids include rollators, transfer boards, and transfer benches. Walkers and rollators are ideal for people with poor balance because they provide support and allow the user to walk independently. Wheelchair aids such as ramps make it easier for wheelchair users to go in and out of rooms or doors with a smooth transition. These ramps are also great for sliding a wheelchair into the car. Transfer boards provide assistance when moving a patient from a wheelchair into a bed, car, or chair. When it comes to mobility, all of these handicap aids increase the safety and confidence of the patient.

A rollator walker acts similarly to a regular walker, but doesn't require the user to lift the walker off the ground with each stride. Rollators glide smoothly along the ground with ease. Rollators also have a padded seat to sit on and rest if need be. They also include a folding removable backrest for comfort. If you prefer to stand, the walker's padded handles provide stability and can be adjusted to the appropriate height. Some walking aids include either a basket or a storage seat that allows you to take small items with you. These portable rollators fold up with ease, making them easy to take on the go.

Transfer boards are designed to safely and easily move patients to and from the bed, wheelchair, and car. These patient transfer devices are made from sturdy wood and can withstand up to 400 pounds. We also carry a bariatric transfer board than can hold 650 pounds. Each medical transfer board has holes cut out that serve as hand grips that the patient can hold on to for stability. Also available is an offset board with three hand grips that is ideal for independent transfers. These daily living aids have a clear sealant on the surface that makes it easy to slide on and off the board. Each sliding transfer board is thin, making them easy to store and carry.

Transfer benches are used to help people get in and out of a bathtub to bathe. They consist of a seat and four legs. Two of the legs sit in the bottom of the tub and two legs sit outside of the tub. This allows the user to enter the bathtub without having to step over the wall of the tub. A transfer bench has a seat back and a handle for extra support. Shower benches are available with a padded seat, commode opening, or a sliding seat to suit your needs.
